Mike Benigno

For more than ten years, I’ve been a professional photographer with a focus on immersive live performances and events using beautiful, natural lighting.

I'm based in Rockaway Beach, Queens, where I live with my wife Ellen, and our daughter. I've covered a wide range of performances at Brooklyn Academy of Music since 2012, and spent nearly a decade as a staff photographer for Bowery Presents. I shoot Nikon, love fishing and running, and I play piano and guitar. My music photography has been featured in the New York Times, Metro Papers, Village Voice and the Huffington Post, and on a wide range of music sites including Brooklyn Vegan and The House List.

My photographs are also included in the Museum of the City of New York’s permanent collection.
